In 1994, the Institute for Neural Computation at UCSD hosted the first Joint Symposium on Neural Computation with Caltech.  This Symposium brought together students and faculty, and experimentalists and theorists, for a day of short presentations on topics relating to information processing in the nervous system.  Since then, the JSNC has rotated between San Diego, Caltech, UCI, UCLA, USC and UCR.  Past programs can be found here.

Terry Sejnowski remains the permanent meeting advisor and curator of JSNC traditions.

The 2015 JSNC has received generous support from the USC Neuroscience Graduate Program and the Brain Corporation.
